USSD is a Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication technology that is used to send text between a mobile phone and an application program in the network. Applications may include prepaid roaming or mobile chatting.
This service features, Prepaid balance Query, Prepaid Recharge and Prepaid balance Transfer. The feature is free till the test periods but will be charged on per event basis later.
The Service is similar to Short Messaging Service (SMS) used as 1414 Customer care service.
USSD Features
Prepaid Recharge:-
Now Recharge you prepaid account dialing *411*[your 13 digit recharge number]# instead of dialing 1414.
*411*[13 digit Recharge Number]# *411*XXXXXXXXXXXXX# and press dail
Prepaid-balance Transfer:-
A prepaid subscriber can transfer the money in its account to another prepaid user's account.

Press *422*Security Code*9841XXXXXX*Amount in Paisa# and Dial
For Example *422*Security Code*9841222222*5000# and Press Dial.
This will transfer your rupees 50 to 9841222222.
Note: Please enter your Amount figure in Paisa, Eg type 5000 for Rs. 50
Security Code is printed on Prepaid Welcome Letter.

Press *400# and dial
Your balance will be seen in your mobile fone set instead of dialing 1414 to listen to your balance figure.
SMS Email Alert :
This feature will allow:
Nepal Telecom Mobile users who also hold Nepal Telecom email account and
Nepal Telecom Internet users who also hold Nepal Telecom Mobile
to receive SMS Email Alert informing new arrival of an email through SMS generated by Web SMS System. The feature has been successfully tested for Nepal Telecom Mobile (Post-paid and Pre-paid) and Nepal Telecom Email Users. Right now these features have been facilitated for Post paid mobiles only.
